It's called extreme ironing and it's a real thing with its very own web site and an instructional video (below). Extreme ironers take their board and iron all over the world, on spelunking trips and climbing expeditions on steep cliffs, on kayaks and the sides of unsuspecting tourist buses. The sport began in the U.K. in 1997, but it's now a somewhat international phenomenon – although the web site warns that the unlikely pastime is not only dangerous but also "addictive."
