NYC Street Style, Video Edition!
Sure, we love ogling editorials, lookbooks, and runway photos all day long, but when we need a dose of real-world style, there's no better way to check out the latest looks than with some good ol' NYC people-watching. Call us boastful, but we know our storied sidewalks have the most sophisticated, put-together… Read More

Street Style Of The Day: A Sunny Disposition

There's no bigger Fashion Week buzzkill than gray, gross, and chilly-to-the-bone weather. That's why we loved to see this sidewalk beauty taking advantage of yesterday's unseasonably comfortable weather, and adding on a few citrus pops of colors for a truly sunny outlook. Mixing prints and patterns, brights and fringe, she's got a clean-cut look that packs a small, but impactful, punch.

Street Style Of The Day: Peony Lim's Decadent Pantsuit

Maybe it's because we're rounding the corner to Valentine's Day, or because we've been eating too many granola bars these past few days, but Peony Lim's perfect-fit pantsuit is a chocolate-y dream. Growling stomachs aside, we're huge fans of Peony's ability to rock this menswear-inspired look and still soften up the edge via velvet, fringe, and a few cascading curls.

Chic Euro Street Style To Kick Off Fashion Month
We'd like to think that New York Fashion Week is the official start to the seasonal "Fashion Month," but that's not actually the case — Stockholm, Berlin, and Copenhagen have all already hosted their own local Fashion Weeks, and with them, a legion of super-stylish attendees. The street style in Europe so far has been nothing short of exhilarating, with straight-from-the-runway silhouettes, bold pattern play, and the requisite top knot (that blew any other top knot we've seen out of the water). European street style team The Locals tackled the Fashion Weeks across the Atlantic for a little pre-NYFW style-spiration — learn something!

The Best Street Style Looks From NYC's Coolest Vintage Show
Letting us loose in this weekend's Manhattan Vintage Show was like letting a Real Housewife play with the equipment at a cosmetic surgery junket: We wanted to have it all and couldn't get enough. Yes, we even took pause to admire the outfits on shoppers and vendors— nothing seemed off limits. And other fashionable notables like Lynn Yeager and Hamish Bowles agreed. So we just had to get in there, get snap-happy, and bring you our fave outfits from the two-day event (and then, of course, we just had to circle back the next day to pick up a few items of our own, too).
Click through to check out how fellow vintage fanatics got down 'n' dirty this weekend.

Street Style: Chic Winter Layers On The Sly

Who she is: Tiara
Where we spotted her: On Adams Street in the Loop.
Why we love her: Obviously Tiara's Rodarte for Opening Ceremony sweatshirt caught our eye, but upon closer look, we love how she layered it. A subtle flannel underneath and an oversized outerwear on top are keeping her warm and stylish, a Chicagoan's sartorial Holy Grail. She's done it so casually we bet it's like second nature for her at this point. What are some of your go-to winter layers?

We Spy: The Most Bangin' Accessories Around Town!
Like Bonnie and Clyde, when you're dressing to kill, you need the perfect partner in crime — and by that we mean the right accessory (or three), obviously. All those little trimmings are the cool accomplices that aid and abet your ensemble, taking the whole look from blah to ah ha, et voilà! And because we're always curious to see what fashionable frills have recently hit the L.A. scene, our street-style team hit the pavement to snap the best bells and whistles on the block. From rare vintage baubles to super-cute (and sky-high) heels, these chicks took a rockin' road-less-traveled approach to their extras. Click through to see our haute and happy trails!

Street Style: A Vintage Shopper After Our Own Heart

Who she is: Jiyoun, a graduate student in the painting and drawing department at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
Where we spotted her: On State Street in the Loop.
Why we love her: Nothing excites us more than a vintage find, and it seems we have that in common with Jiyoun. Her shirt, cape, and boots were all found in the vintage shops of Williamsburg, and even her frames are vintage. That Muji tote? Yeah, only $1. Jiyoun, can we go shopping with you?
The 5 Most Stylish Shop Girls And Boys In Miami
Thanks to that little thing we call the world wide web, we can online shop for just about anything we want at any time we want. As even more local boutiques set up e-commerce sites, swiping a credit card for hard-to-find Suno sundresses or Tabitha Simmons sandals doesn't require you to take those PJs off. But no online boutique, no matter how well designed, can compete with the energy of a buzzy brick-and-mortar. Besides standout architecture, crystals glasses of champagne (The Webster, we're talking to you), and, well, the psychical experience of seeing how something fits, it's the store employees that make non-virtual browsing so much better. To get you out of the house, we scouted Miami's five most fashionable, super-helpful, and just downright cool employees. Not only are we telling you where to find these chic kids, we got them to spill the stuff on all their style secrets. Maybe if you're extra nice, they'll let you in on that employee discount.
A Classic-Cool Blogger Shows Us Around The Lower Haight
While we unabashedly adore show-stopping garb, there’s
something about minimalist, fuss-free fashion that can drive us just as wild.
Sure, our bauble-loving hearts desire a daring statement piece or two,
but we have a serious soft spot for classic staples, too. And no one does
streamlined style (think structured satchels, crisp blouses, and tailored
trousers) quite like S.F.’s own resident stylephile, Annabel Ly of Blushing
Ambition. Her fun-loving blog is all about gallivanting ‘round town whilst
sporting touted brands and chowing down at much-loved eateries. Food
and fashion? Sounds like a stellar combo to us. So, we hit up the sleek-and-chic
blogger to give us a personal walking tour of her hot Lower Haight ‘hood.
That's right, she showed us some of her favorite shops and restos, and, of
course, played dress-up all the while.

Inside R29: This Week, We Get Lippy!
Sometimes, all you need to lighten your mood is a little pop of color. And what better way to display a bright hue than to sport it as plain as the nose (or the lips) on your face? To be clear: We're way into vibrant lips this season. We oooh and ahhh as we open slender boxes of punchy pinks and red-oranges, and can't seem to stop re-applying when we head out at night. Check out how we made it pop this week, and, if you get inspired, there's only one thing left to do: Pucker up!
Street Style: Wear Your Fun, Printed Outerwear While You Still Can!

Who she is: Gabrielle
Where we spotted her: On State Street.
Why we love her: Chicagoans know that when we get a day or two of good weather, we have to take advantage of it. Gabrielle is no exception—she's hip to the fact that heavy parkas for 10-degrees-below-zero days don't come in the fun, vibrant prints we wish they would. We love her oversized cardigan, and pairing it with a chambray shirt and a high waist was a chic choice. Here's hoping we've got more days like these ahead of us!

Street Style: Rock A Crazy-Cool Print Without Looking Crazy

Who she is: Maggie
Where we spotted her: Melrose Avenue
Why we love her: You can tell just by looking at this fair lady that she's comfortable in her own skin, and has her style-sense down pat. It's not every day that you see someone rock ikat pants, and even more rare to actually see someone make it work! The sweet lil' vintage sweater and beaten-up boots seal the deal on this classic Cali beauty's stamp of approval.
