    We're used to layering our lacquer, but Essie's new winter polishes have us "coating" our nails in a whole new way: The six-piece collection is actually inspired by outerwear. The line contains both soft, subtle hues and rich, deep shades — who says longer, darker winter days mean equally somber nail polish?

    And, as always, the names of these Essie colors are so delightfully tongue-in-cheek, we want to collect them all. We're partial to the alliterative "Mind Your Mittens," an almost blue-black teal, and "Toggle To The Top," a sparkly red that's practically begging for some holiday-party action.
