Flares Are Back, & They’re Better Than You Remember

Every other season, wide-leg, extra-long pants fall into favor with the fashion set, and for good reason. Their silhouette can be as dramatic as a gown and they make you look about a million feet tall (give or take). But, this season’s '70s-style pant is so good, we're betting that they're here to stay.
The shape is long and lean, and tight at the thighs so the flare is substantial, but not entirely bell-shaped. Worn with a stacked platform or a heeled bootie, these pants are meant to be worn with your highest shoes, so find them in a length that reaches at least four inches beyond your actual heel, so it barely skims the ground in your tallest shoes.
Ahead, we've got five examples of women already adopting the new shape in pants. Click through to see which kinds they've picked and how they've chosen to wear them.
