Which Style Move Is Your Go-To?

Your grandma might have a style sense that rivals Diana Vreeland's, but if she’s ever commented on how “boyish” your outfit looks when you were feeling particularly feminine (in your cropped sweater, A-line skirt, and patent oxfords, say) you should welcome her to 2014. These days, how much pink you have in your closet has very little to do with how “ladylike” you are. You can draw equal inspiration from Grace Coddington and Shawn Carter, and still manage to look totally consistent. While the old style tropes are as relevant as ever, the fine print on how to pull them off is a bit different these days.
In celebration of the drop of our first-ever, ink-and-paper book, Style Stalking (click here if you don’t already have one), we’re here to talk through 10 chapters and what it all means for our multi-faceted generation. Featuring some of our staffers whose own personal styles influenced the chapters in the book (and some exclusive style tip tidbits from within), we’re touching on some of the modern characteristics that define these moves today.
