The moto jacket might seem more like a fringe buy than a classic must-have, but, if perfectly tailored, slim-fitting, with hardware that's more chic than creepy, the LBJ (that's Little Black Jacket, for all you politico buffs out there) can withstand the test of time. However, if you're not ready to splurge quite yet, train your eye on the line of super-affordable wool versions at American Eagle (yes, really!). The mall-outfitter's version is just as cleanly cut as the Heimstone jacket, and at only $60, we're hard-pressed to find a reason to pick one up for ourselves.
