ps-i-made-this-pac-sun-headband-site
Get out your cutest bikini and your hot new shades because this weekend is PacSun's Summer Solstice Beach Ballyhoo. We're totally down to party at the two-day beach fiesta where there is sure to be amazing music, unforgettable giveaways, and tons of fun under the hot Santa Monica sun. Need more of a reason to pack your towel and sunscreen? One of the party's guests will be our favorite DIYer Erica Domesek, of PS-I Made This fame (and get your name on the pre-sale list for her new book here). Come join in on her latest DIY project with ROXY, inspired by the free-spirits of Cochella and the Navajo Indians. You'll go home with a rad feather headpiece, bracelet, or scarf. We can't wait! How many days until the weekend?

PacSun Summer Solstice Beach Ballyhoo, June 19 and 20
Lot 1 North, 1550 Pacific Coast Highway (at the Santa Monica Pier); no phone.

If you can't come DIY with Erica this weekend, try crafting these unique feather headpieces at home!

INGREDIENTS:
Scissors
Rawhide
Feathers
Wooden beads
Feathers
Neon tape

DIRECTIONS:
-Braid 3 long strands of rawhide together, approximately 1.5 yards each. Be sure to leave some extra rawhide on the ends to tie feathers and beads onto
-Slip wooden beads onto rawhide as you braid
-Tie knots at ends of the braid
-Gather and pinch feathers to rawhide and tape to secure
-Continue to add beads and feathers with tape on the ends of rawhide. If you run out of rawhide, knot on extra pieces to hang and embellish.

Get creative with colors, beads, and other kinds of string if you cant find rawhide. Ribbons and thin rope work as well.
