There are two kinds of Disney fans in this world. The casual ones might visit Disneyland once a year, have a Mickey Mouse T-shirt for nostalgia's sake, and dress up as one of the iconic princesses for Halloween. They may even secretly revel in their niece's Frozen obsession. Then, you have the die-hard, frolic-around-a-convention-in-full-cosplay fans. Suffice to say, it was the latter who attended Disney's D23 Expo this past weekend in Orange County.

Touted as bringing "all the magic and excitement of the past, present, and future of Disney entertainment" under one roof, the biannual expo has been held since 2009. This year's event at the Anaheim Convention Center proved to be one for the books. In addition to insider scoops on upcoming Disney movies and celebrity appearances by the likes of Johnny Depp and Lupita Nyong'o, there was a bevy of amazing female cosplayers we just had to share.
