The Apple Watch doesn't ship for another week, but a growing collection of celebrities are already showing them off on Instagram. VIPs...when did "normal" rules ever apply to them, anyway?
Musicians like Katy Perry and Pharrell posted photos and videos (respectively) of the watch on their wrists after it went up for pre-sale on Friday. Today, Karl Lagerfeld’s assistant posted a photo of the fashion icon wearing a yellow gold Apple Watch Edition with a custom matching band. And, NPH actually stopped by his local Apple Store to try one on.
The Apple Watch comes in three versions: Apple Watch Sport, which features an aluminum casing around the watch face and a "Sport Band" (starts at $350); Apple Watch, which has a stainless steel case and a variety of different band options (starts at $550); and the Apple Watch Edition, which has a gold case paired with different bands (starts at $10,000). Most celebs seem to be spotted in the pricier Edition models.
The watch is available for pre-order now through Apple’s website. But, depending on which model you choose, it may not actually arrive for a couple of months. Some models showed shipping delays as far back as June, but it's likely they could ship before then.
