On this long holiday weekend, there's more than enough time to simply kick back and watch these aquatic mammals kick back on the Monterey Bay Aquarium's Sea Otter Cam, AKA We Just Died and Went to Fuzzy-Faced Heaven. It's as if Stephen King rewrote The Running Man but replaced all of the violent dystopia and death with fishy snacks and otter pups.
The cam goes live each and every day at 7 a.m. Pacific Time, with feedings throughout the day. Put away your summer reading list, and consider giving this threatened species a little love in the form of a donation to the aquarium.
