Your Saturday Night Plans: Fete De La Musique At Malmaison

malmaisonslide
One of our city's most endearing qualities is its distinctive multi-culti vibe — by doing something as simple as RSVPing to an embassy event or attending a cultural fest, you can be transported to a foreign locale. Luckily, your next chance for a faux-getaway happens on Saturday at Malmaison, when a traditional French music festival, the Fête de la Musique, stages in Georgetown.
Performers from the local area and abroad will provide live music inside and outside the venue, so you can expect a mash-up of live concerts with a street-festival vibe. Scheduled performances include Honest Halloway, Gramophonic, La Unica, and Arthur Loves Plastic, among others. Also on the docket? Plenty of food and drinks. With free admission until 11 p.m., you can't afford not to check it out, right?
When: Saturday, June 22, from 2 p.m. to 3 a.m.
Where: Malmaison, 3401 Water Street NW; no phone. After 11 p.m., admission is $5 to $10.
