Every little girl dreams about becoming a dancer, but few have the star power, diligence, patience, and work ethic to make it happen. That's why we marvel at New York City talents like Eleanor Hullihan. Eleanor's powerful skills are more than just dancing — it's performance art, musical interpretation, and a display of deeply thoughtful athleticism that combines equal parts hard training as it does intuitive feeling.

We snagged an exclusive shoot and interview with the on-stage lovely to get her diet and workout routine, her best advice, and her personal motto. Unsurprisingly, she trusts her intuition — an unteachable quality that no doubt got her to the level of performance achievement she has mastered today. Oh, and P.S., somehow between performances and rigorous rehearsal schedules, Eleanor also finds time to teach dance improvisation and pilates (and do a little DIY and thrifting work, too!). Who's signing up?

Click through for some serious inspiration and meet the working girl who's getting our style spotlight treatment.
