Piera Gelardi, creative director: Mexico City

"I'm not great at sitting still so I love me some city vacation! I've heard such amazing things about Mexico City in the past few years and I'm dying to go check out the melding of old and new in the city and the blossoming art and music scenes.

I'm going to call Condesa DF home for the five days I'll be there in March. It's in the 'SoHo of MC.'"

Piera's Packing List:

"Every time I go somewhere warm, I bring a straw hat and then, without fail, I lose it. Though this hat may suffer a similar fate, I trust it will quickly find a new home because it's just so dang adorable. Made from local craftspeople in Ecuador and festooned with a dancing little doll, you can't not love it."
Valdez Panama Hat, $70, available at Opening Ceremony.

"I'll need a good bag for toting around my stuff throughout the day. This durable canvas and leather tote bag by Alexandra Cassiti converts into a backpack, plus who can resist a print named 'Spaced Out Bandana?' I sure as hell can't."
Alexandra Cassaniti Adjustable Tote, $240, available at Alexandra Cassaniti.

"Butter London's polishes come in the best colors, plus they are free of the big, bad toxins found in most nail lacquers. This fresh blue reminds me of turquoise jewelry, so my nails can match my souvenirs!"
Butter London Nail Lacquer in Slapper, $14, available at Ulta.
