It only took one (sneak) peek at Leandra Medine's new office space for us to see that the folks at Homepolish — the interior geniuses responsible for the streamlined makeover — know what they're doing. Whether it's a total renovation or culling the perfect finishing touches, designer work by the hour to create a balanced space that just works.
When you live in New York City, every single nook in your apartment has to count for something. So, when Homepolish designer Allison Lind went to work on her new one bedroom, she made sure no corner was wasted with useless objects or space fillers.
Because she works from home and loves to entertain, she needed her apartment to accommodate all aspects of her home life and be a comfy home for her pooch Frankie. Self-described as the poster child for eclectic, her space is a perfect mix of quirky vintage and casual contemporary. "One of my favorite pieces is my grandmother's armchair, a classic mid-century piece I had reupholstered a couple years ago," Allison said. "She was a designer as well and definitely a big reason I wholeheartedly follow my passions in both work and in life."

The coffee table was built by Allison and her brother from a fallen tree in the backyard of her family home. Cool bronze mirrors are scattered throughout the apartment and splashes of color are added with knickknacks and vibrant pillows.
"I think a home should reflect who you are and what makes you happy not just a beautiful spread in a magazine," Allison said. "When my closest friends and family first saw my finished space, their unanimous reaction was 'this is so you.'" We love the space so much, we think it's totally us, too.
