Do Maximalism Without Maxing Out Your Budget
When Lagerfeld debuts something on a runway, it goes without saying that it’ll be a certified hit. Pastel hues — we did those. Platform creepers — we went there. Even Bollywood-chic — well, our nose piercings speak for themselves.

Fall ’12 saw models storming down the runway channeling maximalist-regal style, and it was in that very moment that our hearts dropped and less-than-royal budgets weeped. A look that’s created from bling, sparkle, and opulent embellishments usually has dollar signs written all over it. However, we’ve found a sneaky way around those ever-present money worries.

Scouring the web, we’ve styled up some in-your-face ensembles for tight wallets and teeny bank balances. From velvet to sequins to brocade, now we can all work runway chic on a runaway’s budget.
