What do you love about the Meatpacking District and how does it separate itself from the rest of the city?
"The first thing is the cobblestones — it reminds me of my own native country, Belgium. Also, The High Line, and soon the Whitney — it's so unique. That's a lot."
What are you looking forward to most, fashion-wise and otherwise, this spring in New York City?
"I just want everyone to be happy! If everybody's happy then everything is good. And what I love about this neighborhood is that you can walk — you can walk by the river, you can walk on The High Line, soon you'll have the Whitney, so it's just going to be the best place to be."
For tonight's event you chose the discount shops platform. What was the planning behind this?
"Because that's what we do! We sell things and hopefully it will raise money."
What's the most inspiring thing you've seen in NYC recently?
"I just came back from the country. Nature is always inspiring."
Speaking of nature, it's snowing outside and you look flawless — how do you keep so chic in this weather?
"I am not chic at all! I just came back from the country but I just wear color."
