This year marks the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee — a celebration of the fact that 60 years ago, Her Royal Highness The Princess Elizabeth, Duchess of Edinburgh, ascended the steps of Westminster Abbey, sat on King Edward's Chair, donned the crown, and was proclaimed Her Majesty Elizabeth the Second, by the Grace of God, of Great Britain, Ireland, and the British Dominions beyond the Seas, Queen and Defender of the Faith.
More importantly, as far as we’re concerned, it’s another occasion for Ladurée to release a fresh box of their o-nom-nomalishious macarons. This time the little treasures come wrapped in a commemorative, Union-Jack-covered box with a royal crown on top and six of their mouthwatering delights inside. It’s the perfect little something to take with you to celebrate Ol’ Liz with a round of tea and cakes. Huzzah!
