Cushnie Et Ochs Crucifies A Dress In Their Fall 2011 Lookbook

We've always known that Michelle Ochs and Carly Cushnie, the duo behind eponymous label Cushnie et Ochs, were dark. We can imagine these gals circa high school as the incredibly unapproachable, impossibly cool twosome that channeled a chillingly glam Elivira, perhaps ring-leading their own Heathers—without the murders, of course. While their spring '11 collection was a bit sweeter than we expected, the girls returned to their roots for their fall '11 lookbook (we got the exclusive first look), which extrapolated on some of the themes we fell for at their Fashion Week runway show. Moody models posing as Native American-ish chieftesses, an inspiration taken from a Cushnie and Ochs nomadic cross-country road-trip, were shot in a part of Brooklyn we've never seen, stirring in their winter beach theme for some memorable shots. Standouts include a fringe-tastic dress that looks awesomely evil, and a cut-out silver silk dress "crucified" on a wooden cross. Maybe we've been watching too much Game of Thrones, but are we the only ones who are getting a case of the White Walkers chill?
