Get Design School(ed) With This Awesome New Video Series

Whether you want tips on how to wear the latest fashion trends or are looking for a last-minute 'do for your hot date, we look to blogs for everything these days. And while we're all about aspirational slideshows and gorgeous photography at R29, we love a good video, too. The latest that's got us tuned in? The new Design School(ed) series from local blogger extraordinaire Nikia Jefferson of ChiTown Fashionista.
The mini-video series features one-on-one interviews with local designers, with a "ChiTown Shakedown" at the end — basically a few wild-card questions to keep things super-real (and fun!). The series kicked off with guest correspondent Kari Herrera of Chicagoings chatting with designer Azeeza Khan about her latest line, incredible new store, and her definition of the "AZZA girl."

The most recent video in the series took a look into the exciting life of Shernett Swaby of SWABY, who dishes on her new ready-to-wear line, Model-29. Swaby was a top-five finalist on Project Runway Canada, and was awarded with honors such as “designer of the year” by Fashion Group International and “best local designer” by Chicago Magazine.
Check out the latest video below and keep your eyes peeled for the next installment in this fun series. Who said summer school couldn't be fun?
