2 Chicago Designers Create The Jason Wu For Brizo Window Display
We're having a proud moment. Local window display designers Linsey Burritt and Crystal Grover, (you know them as INDO), recently collaborated with Jason Wu and Young and Laramore to design a window display for the launch of Wu's faucet and accessory line for Brizo at the DREAM20 Showroom in the Merchandise Mart.
INDO focuses on found, reclaimed, and repurposed materials for all of their truly breathtaking vitrines, and this most recent installation is no exception. Made of salvaged polypropylene and vintage and dead stock fabric, the fluid, baroque display will be up until August in the Merchandise Mart for your viewing pleasure. We find the Jason Wu for Brizo sign especially cool — it's made of high density foam and strung on clear plastic rods so that it floats in mid-air. Our hats are off to these ladies and their beautiful work, and we can't wait to see what's next!

5 Things To Do That Are Really, Really Far Away From NATO

Anyone living in Chicago knows that NATO is coming to town (even though the traffic feels like its already here), and all we want to do is have nothing to do with it. Unless you're protesting, in which case you have little use for this post. If you're hoping to avoid the nightmare that will be getting around Chicago during NATO, you could stay indoors and avoid it altogether. However, its going to be in the '80s this weekend and we highly recommend that you step outside. If you're looking for fun weekend plans as far from the NATO action as possible, read below. We've handpicked a few winners that will get you out of town, and into something totally fun.

Kanye West's New Movie Will Be Shown Across Seven Screens At Once

Aside from Barbie, we're not sure if there's anyone has had more careers than Kanye West. A musician, a producer, a fashion designer, a fast-food chain owner, a philanthropist… and don't forget, a director as well. At the Cannes Film Festival, Kanye West is debuting a film short titled "Cruel Summer," which is inspired by his G.O.O.D. Music album, also named Cruel Summer. The production will be "an immersive '7 Screen Experience'" (their capitalization, not ours) that will debut May 23. What that means? Probably fast cars, model ladies wearing the fall '12 Kanye West collection, a cameo by Aziz Ansari, and — if we're lucky — Kanye wearing a skirt. Already in Cannes, you lucky kids? Cop your own free ticket here.
