Peek Inside An Interior Designer’s Crazy-Beautiful Chelsea Pad

With some apartments, it’s love at first sight. Homepolish designer, Michele Bitter’s Chelsea one-bedroom is no exception, merging Hollywood retro-glam with a playful streak: Pirate inspired accents are scattered throughout — a small tribute to her great, great, great, grandfather, who was a bona fide rum sniffer for the Royal Navy in Jamaica, and a bit of a family legend.
Other showstoppers, like an atomic Sputnick chandelier and lucite accents, infuse the space with an added dose of midcentury style. “I always joke with people that it’s disco '70s but it's not anymore. Now it’s eclectic '70s with a little glam. Okay, a lot of hollywood glam,” says Michele.
Click through to see how Michele transformed her apartment into an inviting, playful retreat that radiates casual glam.
