This Documentary Explores A Huge Gap In LGBTQ Acceptance

Though more states than ever before now have marriage equality, certain regions of the U.S. still exhibit mixed emotions towards LGBTQ individuals. Broken Heart Land, a new documentary by Jeremy and Randy Stulberg, explores that very problem as it exists in Oklahoma. The filmmakers follow the story of a teenage boy (from a conservative military family) who committed suicide shortly after coming out. Many are blaming his death on the extreme anti-gay positions of the Bible Belt. Below, you can watch the trailer for the poignant project, which debuts nationwide on June 24. (Huff Post)
