Thankfully, cellphones worn on belt holsters in a very geeky, inspired-by-dad manner are almost a thing of the past (well, at least for certain segments of the population). But still, even as we get more technologically advanced, we haven't quite figured out a fool-proof way to tote our beloved smartphones in an efficient, hands-free manner. However, that'll all change if the makers of JoeyBra have their way.
What is the JoeyBra, you ask? Named after the way a baby "joey" kangaroo hides inside of its mother's pouch, this new undergarment was dreamt up by two current University of Washington students and aims to help "women who are constantly on the go and struggle to find a place to put their ID, keys, or phones." Instead, they figure, women around the world need to stash those essentials in little pockets on the sides of their bras.
At first, envisioning an iPhone nestled under our shirts made us shake our heads in disbelief. Then, however, we started to imagine a life without the need for a purse. We're thinking the $19.99 item, which one you currently pre-order, might be especially handy in nightlife scenarios. Just think about how much easier it would be to bust out Beyoncé moves without a bag getting in the way.
And, it seems like we're not the only ones with a piqued interest. With 17 days to go in its Kickstarter campaign, the JoeyBra has already raised nearly double its goal of $4,000.
But the question remains: yay or nay? Is this patent-pending design utterly ridiculous...or is the JoeyBra (which comes in only leopard at this point) completely genius? Let us know in the comments below.
