The bob seems to always be surrounded by a wave of controversy, from its introduction in 1909, when many thought it stripped women of femininity, to today...when people are saying the same thing. Recently, Karlie Kloss ditched the extensions she wore for the Victoria's Secret fashion show, sparking a wave of complaints from viewers who believe that "short hair isn't sexy." We think they may be overdue for an eye exam.

"Karlie has a small face, so the heaviness of this bob is great for her," explains Yamane. "It opens up her face and puts the focus on her cheekbones. If it was a little longer, it wouldn't work for her. Someone with a round face who wants to try this look should tell their stylist to make it slightly longer than Karlie's."
