Gina Marí's Sunset Boulevard space is state-of-the-art, much like all of the tricks up her skin-savvy sleeve. She's got oracle-like LED lights, and custom-designed programs for even the most low-maintenance (us included!). As a pro product tester, she's got oodles of insider info on up-and-coming beauty booty, and her skin is be-yond.

Sidenote: she's cool inside and out. After getting up close and personal for a full hour with the low-key lady, you'll pretty much want to make her your new BFF.

Her Secret Weapons:
"We do a lot of product testing at my office, and we purchase a brand’s entire line so we can experience it in full effect. I usually give a new line about two weeks before I judge it, and then from there I pick out my favorites. I prefer to have a variety of different products in my cabinet because I'm not one to use the same things on a day-to-day basis. I wake up every morning and ask my skin what it would like today. And since we’re having such crazy weather lately…my skin is constantly changing. On that note, here are some of my ever-revolving top products!

Eau d’Italie Bath Salts, $35, available at Lafco.

"These bath treats are absolutely amazing. It’s a delicious unisex scent that I fell in love with, and actually now sell in my office as well because all of my clients enjoy it so much. It reminds us of the Italian Riviera – which is fitting, because that is where it's from! The salts are made with saline crystals, and specifically formulated to relax the body and mind. I try to soak twice a week and pretend that I’m on vacation…not in the middle of chaotic Los Angeles!"

Neutrogena Oil Free Eye Make-up Remover, $4.94, available at Target.
"I'm not a huge wearer of eye make-up, but this product is a fool-proof way to make sure your skin is free of long lasting mascara and eyeliner."

Fresh Sugar Deodorant Antiperspirant, $18, available at Neiman Marcus.
"I love it because it's exactly what it says it is…fresh! It has a great consistency, and doesn’t leave any residue that can rub off on clothing. I have been using this product for years and am insanely loyal to it."

Amore Pacific Moisture Bound Tinted Moisturizer SPF 15, $70, available at Neiman Marcus; Amore Pacific Eye Renewal Cream, $260, available at Neiman Marcus.
I’m not huge in the makeup department as I've always thought that 'less is more'…especially as I age. However, I love both Amore Pacific’s Tinted Moisturizer SPF 15, and Amore Pacific’s Eye Renewal Cream. They give you a refreshing glow and really bring your skin to life. The eye cream is a bit of an expense, but really one of the best I have EVER found."

Eau d’Italie Eau d’Italie Toilette Spray, $140, available at Lafco.
"I LOVE fragrance, and my two favorite brands are Eau d’Italie for their exquisite, highly layered scents and Jo Malone ($55 for 30ml) for all of their limited-edition scents."

Santa Maria Novella Body Milk, $85, available at Lafco; Santa Maria Novella Idrasol Body Cream, $94, available at Santa Maria Novella.
"Santa Maria Novella has always been a go-to beauty brand for me. They started as an infirmary in Florence, Italy in the 1200s, so I trust that they know a thing or two about making natural (and beautiful) products that work — I have never been disappointed! I always stock the delicious rose scented Latte per il Corpo and the thicker Idrasol Crema Idratante, when my skin is feeling a little more dry."

Radical Skincare Peptide Infused Antioxidant Serum, $170, available at Barneys; Radical Skincare Youth Infusion Serum, $150, available at Barneys.
"I recently started using this complete line of products, and am particularly fond of these two serums. They're a great combination in fighting free radicals with their potent power of antioxidants."

iS Clinical Active Serum, $100, call 1-888-807-4447.
"I also always have iS Clinical Active Serum on-hand for its exceptional multipurpose formula. It's designed to generate rapid and dramatic improvements in overall skin quality. Active Serum diminishes fine lines and wrinkles, evens pigmentation, smoothes, and controls acne. A little goes a long way!"

Her Number One Tip:
"To combat fine lines and wrinkles and maintain youthful skin, ALWAYS sleep on your back — never on your face or side. Even the most diligent skincare devotee can't avoid the creases and lines that result from sleeping on your frontside. And silk pillowcases are much better than cotton as they provide 18 essential amino acids, are naturally hypoallergenic, inhospitable to dust mites and other allergens, and protect hair from breakage. Kumi Kookoon Silk Bedding makes great ones in a gorgeous array of colors, $120 for two queen cases."

Trina Renea, The Facial Bungalow

Tucked away in an intimate WeHo oasis, you'll find one of the most knowledgeable aestheticians in town (not to mention a super-cool chick). And she won't just give you the same old rigamarole of a skin diagnosis, either. This industry vet believes in continual learning as key for her clients — she constantly keeps up with breaking news in the beauty biz (she lunches with chemists, for goodness' sake!).

She also moonlights as the lead medical aesthetician at The Rapaport Dermatology Group in Beverly Hills, is a member of the Society of Cosmetic Chemistry, and trains at UCLA for Cosmetic Chemistry. On top of that, she has tools at her fingertips that are found nowhere else in the entire U.S. of A. We've really never met someone more in-the-know about ingredients, technology, trends, and practical fixes — and it shows in the insane glow her magical touch grants. Book at least three weeks in advance because Trina's beyond in-demand (she has a serious slew of celeb devotees, but we won't kiss and tell, ha!).

The best part? A percentage of all sales from Trina Renea Skincare products are donated to four local non-profits, each with a relevance and meaning to the flawless facade master.

Her Secret Weapons:

L'Artisan Parfumeur Premier Figuier Fragrance, $120, available at Barneys.
"This is my favorite daytime perfume. It's light and fresh—delicious!"

Algemarin Dry Shampoo, $7.95, available at Amazon.
"I dont like to wash my hair every day, that way it doesn't get dryed out. I use this spray-on powder that keeps the oil away. It's fantastic!"

Jan Marini Skin Research Antioxidant Daily Face Protectant SPF 30, $48, available at Facial Bungalow.
"I absolutely love this sunscreen because it's a moisturizer too. It soaks right into my skin, and I don't feel greasy. It gives me a great glow, and is also full of antioxidants for extra protection. It has 100% UVA protection — pretty perfect for everyday use."

Aquaphor Healing Oinment Tube 1.75, $4.99, available at Target.
"This is the perfect solution for soft lips. I use it everyday, but instead of having to apply all day long I only have to put it on before bed, and my lips are soft all the next day. It's great for dry feet, too. Rub it on at night, put on socks, and you will have soft peds by morning."

Trina Renea Skincare Moisture Boost, $35, available at Facial Bungalow.
"This is a must-have in your cabinet. When I'm dehydrated this is my go-to. It's pure hyaluronic acid, which when put on before your moisturizer, pulls the water deep into your skin. There's also red tea in it, which is a stronger antioxidant than green tea."

Trina Renea Skincare Bye Bye Dry, $40, available at Facial Bungalow.
"Another must, this product is pure squalane from an olive tree. Squalane mimics our own skin's oil, so when applied, it soaks right in to instantly relieve dryness. With dry weather, heaters and air conditioners, something is always dehydrating our skin. This is an instant relief."

Stila Lip Glaze, $22, available at Sephora.
"My one and only! It gives my lips such a glassy, smooth look. Simply the best!"

Blinc Primer and Mascara, $19, available at Blinc.
"I love this mascara because it never smears. It can be removed with just water, and rolls off your lashes like little rubber tubes."

MAC Cosmetics Lip Pencil in Spice, $14, available at MAC Cosmetics.
"Spice is the perfect natural lip color. I put it on with a clear gloss, and it makes my lips glow perfectly."

Jan Marini Retinol Plus, $64, available at Jan Marini.
"This is the best new product to hit the market. It's as effective as Retin-a without the irritation! Everyone should be on a vitamin A product to boost collagen and keep your skin clear, and for me, this is definitely the one."

Jan Marini Regeneration Booster, $225, available at Facial Bungalow.
"This is the ideal product to reverse the aging process. I use it every 3 months for 6 weeks. I get compliments on my skin, and I believe 100% it's due to this Booster! It's the only one of its kind on the market right now, and is so far advanced. It contains the newest ingredient — telomerase enzyme, as well as growth factors, antioxidants, and peptides."

Her Number One Beauty Tip:
"The best product to fight the aging process is obviously sunscreen. An SPF 30 only lasts about 3-4 hours, so it's important to reapply, and I highly suggest a mineral powder, which in essence is sunscreen! My favorite is by Colorescience for $60."

Her Number One Beauty Trick:
"Only wash your face once a day, at night. While you sleep, your body pushes your skin's oils to the surface to protect and nourish your skin. You want to keep that oil on your skin. So in the morning, just rinse your face with water, and then apply your products. This will change your skin! Truly!"

Shin An, Founder Shin Salon
There's not enough space in this slide for all of our gushy thoughts on Ms. Shin. Skillful, soulful, and located in a beautiful new Santa Monica studio, she's shear-ly mastered her craft. Every editor on the East, and now the West, flocks to her for clean (and cool) locks.

She chopped off six inches of our hair, and this cut's so good that we haven't needed a retouch in a solid three months. She even recently offered up very well-received tips on how to beat five types of pesky hair probs. Trust, your tresses will thank you for listening to her head-of-class advice.

La Natura Anti-Stress Therapy Roll-On, $13, avaialable at La Natura.
"I first discovered this at a natural products expo, and I wanted to roll it on all over my body. It’s made with organic basil, rosemary, peppermint, and eucalyptus. It soothes away your stress and helps relieve headaches."

Alba Botanica Natural Hawaiian Body Cream, $13.99, available at Alba Botanica.

Philip B Rejuvenating Oil, $30, available at Philip B.
"I use this at the salon during scalp facials, and I personally use it as a styling product because I don’t wash my hair everyday. I add a drop to my hair each day to keep my ends hydrated. Plus, it smells amazing!"

Sojourn Leave-in Detangler, $22, available at Sojourn Beauty.
"This is the only product I put in my hair after I wash it. It’s light-weight and it truly detangles the hair. And it’s heaven-sent for people with children!"

Biologique Recherche Lotion P50, $57, available at Elite Skincare.
"I’ve discovered the 'fountain of youth' in a bottle. It exfoliates and helps maintain the skin's pH."

Homeoplasmine Cream, $17, available at Bonanza.
"This is a magical ointment. It's soothes, protects, and moisturizes the skin while leaving a natural matte finish. I basically use it everywhere…my hang nails, cuts, and even my baby’s rashes."

Ko'an Ginger Gel, $45, available at Ko’an.
"This is my go-to product! After I’ve had an indulgent night out eating rich, salty food, or having drinks with friends, I tend to wake up with a puffy face, so I put this Ginger Gel on, and all the swelling and goes away! It’s an amazing product because the ginger stimulates blood circulation, and reduces puffiness."

Her Number One Beauty Tip:
"For glowing skin without the sun, I like to mix a couple of dollops of MAC Lustre Drops with my foundation. Whenever I use it, people always ask me if I just got back from vacation."

Her Number One Beauty Trick:
"When the weather warms up, spritz fresh lemon juice and vodka through your hair, and sit in the sun for a bit (make sure you wear SPF) to achieve natural highlights. Plus, you can use whatever lemon juice and vodka is left over to mix with agave nectar, and serve over ice for a refreshing summer cocktail!"

Scott Barnes, THE Makeup Artist

Well, it's not like he really needs an introduction, but we'll give any of you you who missed the last decade's beauty boat the scoop. Scott started out as a Parsons-trained painter (good sign, right?), cut his teeth assisting on editorial shoots, then meteorically rose to fame, working with renowned superstars like Scavullo, Liebovitz, and Demarchelier.

The list of celebs he's painted faces for could go on forever (Kate Hudson, Nicole Richie, Mary J. Blige, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Celine Dion to give a glimpse), but he was J. Lo's main makeup squeeze for eons, with his look for her famously labeled "The Glow."

If there's anyone we'd trust in all of Hollywood to give us good face, c'est Scott!
