What is your definition of Basta style?
"It's very much designed to 'make it your own' with our reversible suits and mix-and-match combinations, so I'd definitely say it's very personal and versatile."

Where do you spend most summer weekends?
"I still embrace a summer vacation mentality and spend my weekends traveling. I love the summer months on the East End in New York and always reserve a few weekends for sunny California. Plus, I do an annual surf trip over the Fourth of July (Nicaragua this year!), and you can find us Basta girls in Miami for Swim Week in mid-July."

Any favorite local spots on the East End?
"I've traded shopping in the city for hitting up my favorite boutiques, pop-ups, and seasonal shops out East. Love, Adorned has an Amagansett post — I absolutely love its Nolita location, so I was thrilled to find it...and I don't think I've ever left empty-handed. I'm also a huge fan of the LOVE yoga studio in Montauk. It's a beautiful, bright studio in the middle of town — you must try one of Sian Gordon's classes!"

What is your go-to Saturday night outfit at the beach?
"Still a little salty, sandy, and sunkissed from the beach, I go out with wet hair, cutoff jean shorts or a vintage dress, flip-flops, and my go-to, army-green jacket. It's all about being casual at the beach, so I like to take the opportunity to put away the heels and makeup."

What is one item you could wear all summer?
"A gorgeous bikini — it's all you need."

Do you surf?
"Yes!"

How did you learn?
"My first paddle was on the Gold Coast in Australia after college. Following that, I packed my bags for Southern California and spent a couple years at ROXY falling in love with the sport."

Which Basta suit is your favorite and why?
"I love our Kikitas reversible string with ruched bottom — it truly is our itty-bitty teenie-weenie bikini."

What is your definition of Basta style?
The Basta girl doesn't just lie on the beach — she uses it as her playground. She's laidback, adventurous, and stylish. Basta style is versatile, casual, chic, and meant to mix and match, so you can always add personality into your look.

Where do you spend most summer weekends?
"Sag Harbor."

Any favorite local spots?
"Tutto Ill Giorno, Round Swamp Farms Market, The Crows Nest, and Vine Street Cafe for food. Then, Tenet, Everything But Water, and Intermix for shopping."

If you could only pack five things to the beach, what would they be?
"A Basta Surf Zunzal bungee bikini, Basta Surf black and white wrap with coral tassels, McTavish surfboard (Bob McTavish made me one for my birthday, and I love it!), Supergoop! sunscreen, and Kaanas shoes."

What is your go-to Saturday night outfit out East?
"It's generally pretty cold at night, so I wear rag & bone skinny jeans, a white Basikke tank (I wear white tank tops with almost everything), and my IRO linen bomber jacket. I rarely wear heels by the beach, so I usually have my Balenciaga flats on and tons of gold jewelry — unless I'm surfing, I'm never without gold jewelry."

Where would we find you on a typical Sunday morning out East?
"Usually, I'll go for a walk on the beach and then head to the Juicy Naam in Sag Harbor for fresh juice — they're so delicious!"

Do you surf?
"Yes!"

How did you learn?
"I learned while I was living in Costa Rica."

What is your favorite surfing spot?
"Avellanas Beach in Costa Rica or Byron Bay in Australia."

Which Basta suit is your favorite and why?
"Our Zunzal bungee bikini is my favorite. It fits beautifully and is great for surfing. I love the mixed material of bungee on the bikini back and sides — it adds a pop of neon and moves with your body. The top and bottom are both reversible, and you can mix and match."

What is your definition of Basta style?
"The Basta girl loves to travel. She's adventurous, sophisticated, and playful; she doesn't take herself too seriously."

Where do you spend most summer weekends? "East Hampton and Sag Harbor."

Any favorite local spots?
"I live for Round Swamp Farm's prepared foods. Tutto Il Gorno has the best pasta hands down — I go there every weekend! I have a weakness for the chicken parm at The Palm and margaritas at the Blue Parrot. And, for shopping, I'd have to go with Michelle Farmer (Bridgehampton), Sunset Beach (Shelter Island), and the Scoop in East Hampton — it's so good!"

What are you weekend essentials?
"My husband and dogs always. I also cannot live without Renew Spa Mineral sheer tint, Kiehl's lip balm, and Dior Show mascara. And I always have my iPhone, iPad, and a plethora of magazines and books handy."

What is your go-to Saturday night outfit out East?
"White J.Crew jeans, Nina Ricci camisole, light sweater, Veronica Beard jacket from my sisters-in-law, Charlotte Olympia heels, and big earrings."

What is one item could you wear all summer long?
"My Basta caftan! I'm obsessed with caftans and have been collecting them for years. I live in them from day to night."

Do you surf?
"Yes, in a very clumsy sort of way."

How did you learn?
"My older brothers were big surfers, so they taught me. Unfortunately, they lost interest in being teachers before I really learned!"

Which Basta suit is your favorite and why?
"The Tonga is my go-to suit. The bottom fit is perfection, and the top is great for small busts."

Tina Langley Walsh, stylist

What is your definition of Basta style?
"The Basta girl is a lover of fun, travel, and the ocean."

Where do you spend most summer weekends?
"Montauk!"

Any favorite local spots?
"Navy Beach has the best sunsets, and I love Herb's for beach snacks and Saint Peter's for seafood."

If you could only pack five things to bring to the beach, what would they be?
"Kiehls SPF 30, Haviana printed flip-flops, a Basta Pareo (a beach towel and cover-up in one!), Céline sunglasses, and a bottle of Harmless Harvest coconut water."

What is your go-to Saturday night outfit in Montauk?
The evenings are almost always chilly in Montauk — even in the dead of summer. Plus, everything is casual, so I usually wear jeans. I'm loving a new printed Balenciaga pair I got in London with an Equipment button-down (a staple!), my See by Chloé leather jacket, and a pair of gladiators."

What's one item you could wear all summer long?
"My new Ferragamo gladiator sandals — they look great with everything!"

Do you surf?
"Yes!"

What other ocean or beach activities are you into?
"I love scuba diving. I have been certified since I was 10, and it's the ultimate escape."

Which Basta suit is your favorite and why?
"The Raglan — it's a great fit, and it's reversible."
