    The quest for the perfect pair of sunglasses is nothing to throw shade at, if you know what I mean. I'm all for extreme cat-eyes, John Lennon-style mini circles, and mirrored lenses, but when investing in a pair of frames, it's back to basics for me with a set that'll stretch the dollar and last a lifetime. Because, let's be honest, settling on a new pair of sunnies takes some serious time (and way more iPhone selfies than I'd like to admit).

    And, heating things up for spring '14 is eyewear line Barton Perreira — the brainchild of Patty Perreira and Bill Barton (both formerly of Oliver Peoples), founded in 2007 — with its expanded collection of shapes and finishes. My number-one reason for calling out this handsome line? It's all about the attention to detail. No one does finishing touches, whether it's rose-gold bridges and hinges or the option of shiny or matte metals, quite like Barton Perreira.

    Now, it's just up to us (note to self) to not let these beauties get loose in the depths of our (ahem, my) purses. After all, as long as "we" don't, these bad boys are sure to keep us looking effortlessly cool for basically the rest of time. And, we can't think of anything better than that.
