Tonight, Anna Wintour is hosting President Barack Obama along with a few other close liberal fashion friends at her Sullivan Street home. For $30,000 a head, Anna and her guests including Calvin Klein and Donna Karan will wine and dine with the president and raise money to donate to the Democratic National Committee. This dinner is a follow-up to the less exclusive dinner held by Calvin Klein for Michelle Obama in 2008, which included 70 guests (including LeBron James) who paid $10,000 for a chance to eat with the then-Senator's wife. WWD wonders if Anna's chummy dinner will start instigating more rumors about a possible political ambassadorship for the editrix.
