Anna Jane Derkin Of See Jane Practices The Love Of The Swipe At Neiman Marcus

Hopping from boutique to boutique is second nature to us. But massive luxury retail destinations are great for piling up armfuls of goods and netting an entire seasonal wardrobe with a single swipe of the card. For proof, watch the lovely fashion and food fanatic Anna Derkin of See Jane raid the Neiman Marcus at Northbrook Court, which now accepts Visa and Mastercard, with our own Chicago Editor, Ms. Shani Silver. She found a full fall wardrobe, bordeaux pants, shimmering cocktail dresses, leopard-print pumps, and more fun fashion finds that matched perfectly with her sophisticated, versatile lady-chic style. It was a good day's hunting by any measure. The best part, though, was the expression on the cashier's face when she looked at all of Anna's discoveries. Too bad we forgot to snap a pic of that.

"It's no secret that Chicago can be bone-chilling in the winter. This poncho would be a great 'coat' to add to my arsenal."

"A sweater with shorts and tights is a little unexpected and definitely more comfortable than wearing a short skirt. Also, in the Windy City, when you wear shorts in the fall or winter, you don't have to worry about flashing passersby on the street!"

"A cobalt-and-camel combination is a fresh departure from your typical fall palette of burgundy and forest green. The best part is that you'll still be wearing that sweater well into spring (which is May in Chicago)."

She's smiling because she found so many cute pieces for fall. Our favorite is that poncho. And the velvet pants. And the pumps. Ok fine, they were all our favorites.

Anna using a Visa to make her purchases. That's right, we said Visa. Neiman Marcus now accepts Visa and Mastercard. Lucky us.
