So, maybe the Knicks didn't do as well this season as we had hoped they would, but Amar'e Stoudemire has certainly found a way to keep himself busy in the off-season. The b-ball star proposed to his longtime girlfriend (and mother to his three children), Alexis Welsh, on Saturday night, during a romantic trip to Paris.
Not that we're jealous or anything, but this may be one of the most lavish proposal stories we've heard in a while: After spending the day taking a private tour of the city's storied landmarks, Amar'e got down on one knee during dinner in their penthouse hotel suite, overlooking the entire City of Lights.

How's the ring, you ask? Just your average 8.5 carat rock, worth over $1 million big ones. The Knicks star did, of course, help to design the sparkler. All kidding aside, we wish them a lifetime of happiness, and we can't wait to see how the stylish baller pulls out all the sartorial stops on the big day. (People)
