There's a reason they tell you to never wear a band's T-shirt to the concert. Fan gear, whether it's showing pride for The Black Keys at a Black Keys show or that "I ♥ NY" while your vacationing in the Big Apple is, frankly, a little lame. And, when it comes to patriotic U.S.A. gear, it's hard to not look like a tourist if you're sporting it any day other than the Fourth. Enter Alternative Apparel. The clothing company has released a patriotic collection just in time for the Olympics, and unlike some other red-, white-, and blue-themed gear we've seen before, this one's just downright rad in its simplicity. From faded tanks to worn-in baseball tees, some of these athletic styles look so classic that they'd pass for school uniforms from way back when. And those soft, throwback white U.S.A. tanks? We'd wear them proudly.

The men's tops are now being sold at Bloomingdale's and the ladies' items are offered at Urban Outfitters, but if you want to get your hands on them this very instant, get a load of the selection on Alternative Apparel's site. You may not be able to wear U.S.A. across your chest while warming up for an event like our country's top athletes do, but hey, we're into faking it 'til you make it.
