Rock On! This Style-Star Blogger Shows Us How To Be Comfortably Tough

Over the years, we've fallen in love with Aimee Song, the superstar blogger behind Song of Style. With spring around the corner, we wanted to know what the trendsetting blogger was stocking up on for the season to come. So, we asked her to create killer looks from Bloomingdale's and show them off in moments from her charmed, fashionable life. Luckily, she said yes. Enjoy!
Not sure if my last name had to do anything with it or not, but I’ve always loved music. A funny fact about me, I was almost born on a dance floor. No joke. When my mom had me, her water broke at a dance club in L.A. So, naturally, music and dancing have been big parts of my life ever since. The day my boyfriend took these pics, I was enjoying a rather musical afternoon with friends and trying on this "haute grunge" look with pieces from Bloomingdale's. It's a little sneak preview of what you might find me rocking when we run into each other at the L.A. Bowl. Check it out.

Comfort is so key when going to concerts. I mean, you spend the whole time dancing and pushing through the crowds. Heels and minis just don't work. So, for today's show, I put on my AG chambray shirt with floral detailing, my favorite denim cut-offs (by Hudson), and a Lily Aldridge for Velvet military jacket. Think I'm ready to rock?

To add a little edge to my outfit, I laced up these spiked-out Converse All Stars. So punk. For color, I wore my Mono & Me bracelet as an anklet. Crafty, right?

My ex-neighbor Wax, is a rapper with a huge YouTube following and I hung out with him before he performed that day in Venice Beach (I actually tried to play the keyboards at his studio). My sister Dani and my friend Zack came with me, so that I'd have even more fun dancing and jumping up and down while he performed "Two Wheels."

Wax’s concert was actually outdoors and it does get a little breezy at Venice Beach (it's not always 72 degrees in L.A., you know). I was so glad I brought the Lily Aldridge jacket to go over my denim on denim. It was just about perfect.

I like the black leather trim on this Rebecca Minkoff bag plus it's the perfect size for concerts — compact, but not too small, you know what I mean?

I always find cool trucks painted in wild colors at concert venues. Perfect street-style backdrop!

See ya next time!
