Marion Cotillard’s Dance-School Photos Are Probably Better Than Yours

For anyone who grew up studying ballet or practicing jazz runs across a mirror-lined studio, you're familiar with the wonderful awkwardness of the dance-school photo. If not, well, know that these photos will make you squirm even more than your regular school pictures — your hands oddly placed on your hips, the strange pyramids you create with your classmates, the gazing off into the distance wistfully. But, Marion Cotillard just showed us all how it's done.
In fact, in case you didn't know, Cotillard is basically a graceful swan in disguise. And, the images for the new Lady Dior ads prove it. Take, for instance, her in-motion shot. It's not a jittery jump with victory arms — it's like she's floating in a bubble in midair. And, that gazing-off thing? There's not even a hint of uncomfortableness to be found. Which is much more than we can say about our own old ballet-class solo shot. Click on for the practically perfect snaps.
