The opaque texture and matte intensity makes this cooler than the usual pastel shade of mint. This is like if mint was really into rock & roll, smoked cigarettes and dated Kate Moss.

I recently did a private runway show at the NY Public Library (an amazing venue!) and managed to snap a few of my favorite faces behind the scenes. One of the things that I've always found fascinating about runway is using the exact same color elements on completely different looking models.

Here are a few suggestions for the brave at heart:

Flaming orange hair and purple eyeshadow (as demonstrated above by Vivien).

Platinum blonde hair and emerald green smoky eyes, paired with un-naturally dark brows.

Pale eggshell blue hair and the brightest cherry red lips, leave the eyes nude for maximum impact.

Raven black hair and bleached white eyebrows, flesh colored lips add a surreal touch.

Faded lavender hair and an almost black lip, bright pink blush is de rigueur with this look.

*For those of you who fear peroxide, experiment with wigs!

Berlin has beautiful summer weather: a mixture of intense sunshine and sudden thunderstorms. It also stays light till almost 10 p.m., which I absolutely love! So, in honor of Berlin's long, sunny, rainy days, here's one of my favorite lipstick colors for the season: coral! This particular shade is quite sophisticated, think of it as the big sister to the 1980's more neon pink hued corals.

Chanel Soleil Tan De Chanel Powder in Sable Rose (on eyelids and cheeks), $140, available at eBay; DiorShow New Look Mascara, $28, available at Dior; Tom Ford Lip Color in True Coral, $49, available at Saks Fifth Avenue.
