After a week straight of Thanksgiving leftovers, you're likely itching to get out of your house and try something different. Don't worry, we've got you covered.
Ahead, check out our three favorite new restaurants in L.A. — plus, a perfect outfit for each!
The latest addition to the food-truck-turned-restaurant trend, Egg Slut finally kicked the training wheels aside and set up shop in Grand Central Market Downtown. And, we're pretty thrilled, considering the breakfast-centric spot makes hands-down the best breakfast sandwiches we've ever had. As for the ensemble? We're just as crazy about it. The super-chic, unexpected melange of color is bright enough to get you going in the morning, the subtle hint of '50s fashion goes perfectly with the countertop-diner vibe, and, the whole look will definitely leave you feeling just a little extra fun and flirty.
Egg Slut, 317 South Broadway; no phone.

A realization appears to be simultaneously taking place amongst a number of L.A.'s most prominent chefs: Food don't need to feel serious in order to be taken seriously. And, Orsa & Winston only proves this sentiment all the more. A fusion of Japanese and Italian flavors, the upscale restaurant ditches the tablecloth and maitre d, and opts instead for an open-view kitchen and blasting Depeche Mode and New Order throughout dinner. So, taking a cue from the restaurant's hip-yet-understated vibe, we suggest an effortlessly cool, chunky green pilot jacket with a simple black skirt and tank, and a pair of patent leather loafers. Skip the unnecessary accessories, order omakase, and enjoy great food without any formalities.
Orsa & Winston, 122 West 4th Street; 213- 687-0300.

Chef Michael Teich's new restaurant, The Wallace, just opened in Culver City, and, somehow, we've already made it our new go-to when in need of some delicious veggies. The farm-to-table establishment boasts communal tables and a more-the-merrier outlook. So, throw on your favorite pair of slouchy denim and a perfectly simple striped shirt, call a couple of your besties, and catch up while sharing every delicious side dish on the menu.
