Chanel Models Sit On Couches The Same Way You Do

    For many, Chanel is synonymous with luxury, and wearing Chanel warrants an occasion that's as fancy-pants as they come (midnight balls in Paris, walking the red carpet during award season, getting married to Ryan Gosling, etc). But just hanging out on the couch with a couple of friends? Leave it to Karl Lagerfeld to make our favorite evening activity a Chanel moment, as well.

    Wearing the spring '13 collection, veteran model Stella Tennant and 16-year-olds Yumi Lambert and Ondria Hardin (who was 15 at the time of the shoot) appear in a variety of lazy, TV-watching positions you're probably more than familiar with yourself.

    While the campaign itself is quite innocuous, Lagerfeld's use of Hardin is a controversial one. While there are no international laws restricting underage models from appearing in shoots, the CFDA's health initiative does include an age guideline to discourage its designers from hiring models under the age of 16. Obviously, Chanel is not part of the American organization and is not liable to be scrutinized under its regulations, but 16 does seem like it's the de facto standard for luxury brands nowadays.
