Fall is perhaps the best time to play dress-up. But given all the post-summer/pre-holiday running around we have to do, we don't always have the time to ponder thoughtfully in front of our closets the way that we'd like. That's why, we were particularly taken with these four refreshingly cute and easy fall outfits from ladies who know what it means to be in a hurry—models sprinting in between shows (as caught by lensman Craig Arend of our favorite model-off-duty site Altamira). An excellent reminder that A) old favorites can always, always, always be recycled in new ways, and B) an awesome outfit never has to be time-intensive. Read on for how to give this less-is-more approach your own spin.
1. Do like Charlotte Di Calypso and wake up your favorite basics like a tailored black blazer and skinny jeans with an elegantly patterned silk scarf. Enlarge Image
2. Follow Alana Zimmer's lead and give your tough-girl leather jacket a ladylike spin with a floral dress and a structured satchel. Enlarge Image
3. Copy Karlie Kloss and use a statement coat and gorgeous bag as the focus for a truly simple daytime outfit. Enlarge Image
4. Get inspired by Lindsey Wixson and skip the matchy-match and mix navy, gray, and black to get a more personalized and textured take on a classic fall look. Enlarge Image
