Wanted: Endless Summer To Wear Lauren Moffatt’s ’60s-Inspired Swim Line

It's official: It's almost time to mourn the end of summer. We're going to miss venturing outside sans coat, but we're especially sad about no longer being able to cool off with a dip in the nearest pool. And, New York designer Lauren Moffatt’s spring '13 swim collection isn't making the inevitable arrival of colder months any easier.
Moffatt drew inspiration from the prim and proper lawn tennis outfits of the '60s, and contrasted that aesthetic with the colorful craziness of the classic neighborhood public pool. These two opposites come together to reveal a completely modern take on a classic look, with bikinis and one-pieces in bold, playful prints. Oh, and the collection also includes a range of cool cover-ups in Moffatt’s custom-designed silk prints and hand-crocheted cotton. It's no wonder Moffatt was inducted into the CFDA this year. After all, making what's technically sportswear wish-list-worthy is no easy task, but these designs are going to have us lusting after swimsuits all year round. However...Summer's not over. We repeat, summer's not over.
