    After months of sheer shades and glossy non-colors, we’re finally seeing some punchier hues for your pout. Purple, orange, and pink were huge on the spring runways, and definitely a trend we were psyched to try. But a bright statement lip can be daunting — choose the wrong pigment and you risk looking like a cracked-out clown with a lipstick habit.

    As you already know, each skin tone has its own quirks, and what looks good on one might be overpowering on another. That's why we asked makeup artist Michelle Coursey to share her tips on finding the lipstick shade that works best with your coloring.
