The buzz around London-based rockers 2:54 has been steadily growing over the past year with the release of an excellent EP and a string of singles leading up to their eagerly anticipated self-titled debut (out May 28 on Fat Possum).You may have even seen their track “Scarlet” featured in our own This Is Our Jam column last November. At its core, 2:54 is two sisters — Colette and Hannah — both embracing their love of brooding, guitar-heavy rock ‘n’ roll. And channeling that into an equally dark fashion sense. Recently, we caught up with the duo at Colette’s London flat, and asked them about their differing musical tastes, how they get ready for a live gig, and what they wear on tour. Expect lots of black.
