The "Home Alone" Cast — 26 Years Later

Christmas just ain't Christmas without Macaulay Culkin.

Back in 1990, a little holiday movie known as Home Alone was released. We all know what followed. Home Alone broke box-office records and propelled Culkin into child superstardom.

In the decades since, the movie has become a Christmas classic. It's also become the basis of fan speculation (hello, Saw theory) and memes. But answer one question: Do you know what happened to the cast?

It's been 26 years since the McCallister clan ran off to the airport to celebrate Christmas in Paris — and totally forgot little Kevin, forcing him to defend himself against robbers. Were they the biggest group of jerks ever assembled in one family? Were they possibly the worst family ever for forgetting a kid who'd barely entered grade school? Were the "wet bandits" the worst robbers ever? We can't answer those questions.

But we can tell you exactly what's happened to the actors since 1990. Ahead, the cast of Home Alone then and now.

Macaulay Culkin (Kevin McCallister)
This was Macaulay Culkin's breakout role. As Kevin McCalister, Culkin is equal parts adorable and irritating. Imagine having a little kid talk to you the way Kevin McCallister talks to his mom. Hell to the no.

The truth is that he is probably the most annoying kid ever. Maybe it's because his family is so downright rude and terrible too? Unclear. In any case, children should never attempt shaving.

So Where's Macaulay Culkin Now?
After Home Alone, Culkin was the biggest child star in the world. He was in movies like The Good Son, Richie Rich, My Girl, and Home Alone 2: Lost in New York (with a guest cameo from our president-elect). But after 1994, Culkin disappeared from the public eye — taking a break from acting.

He got married in 1998, divorced in 2002, and then dated Mila Kunis from 2002 until 2011. He still works on occasion, appearing in movies like Party Monster and Saved. He also plays himself on The Jim Gaffigan Show.

Most recently, he made headlines when his goddaughter, Paris Jackson, gave him a pedicure.

Devin Ratray (Buzz McCallister)
Buzz is the brother no one wants to have. First of all, who names their kid Buzz? Really? Second, who lets a kid named Buzz have a pet tarantula?

Other Buzz questions: Why is he such a jerk? Why is he so disgusting? Why does he think fake puking at dinner is acceptable? Forget what Kevin thinks about his girlfriend — how the hell did Buzz even get a girlfriend?

The world may never know.

So Where's Devin Ratray Now?
Buzz, a.k.a. Devin Ratray, has been very busy since his Home Alone days. After starring in Home Alone 2, Ratray was on shows like New York Undercover and movies like Dennis the Menace.

In 2004, he played Eddy, the royal prince of Denmark, in The Prince and Me. He's also been on shows such as Law & Order, Supernatural, The Good Wife, Agent Carter, and Louie.

Catherine O'Hara (Kate McCallister)
Okay, so you accidentally forgot about your child on a trip abroad. That's not a good look. But you did everything you could to get back to your baby — and for that, you're the real MVP of this movie, mom.

Kate McCallister puts up with a lot of crap — including trash talk from tiny Kevin. But she travels through hell and high water to get back to her son before Christmas. If it weren't so freaking terrible that she forgot him in the first place, you'd call her a hero.

So Where's Catherine O'Hara Now?
Before Home Alone, Catherine O'Hara was killing the game. Need we remind you about a little movie called Beetlejuice, where her lip syncing to Harry Belafonte is everything?

After Home Alone — and its sequel — O'Hara went on to star in movies like The Nightmare Before Christmas (she's the voice of Sally), Wyatt Earp, A Mighty Wind, and For Your Consideration. O'Hara played Carol Wood on the HBO series Six Feet Under. She's also been on TV shows such as 30 Rock, Curb Your Enthusiasm, and Modern Family.

Right now, O'Hara is filming the TV series A Series of Unfortunate Events along with Neil Patrick Harris. NBD.

Gerry Bamman (Uncle Frank)
Truth: Uncle Frank is an asshole. This dude won't even chip in a few bucks to pay for the family's pizza. He's crude, rude, and cheap. What does he shout at Kevin —who happens to be an 8-year-old kid— after he knocks over some milk? He yells, "Look what you did, you little jerk," with more vitriol than most people can muster for someone who cuts them off in traffic. Like, yeah, Kevin is a little jerk. But maybe don't? Frank's also a terrible singer. Please see Home Alone 2 for proof.

So Where's Gerry Bamman Now?
Gerry Bamman reprised his role of Uncle Frank in Home Alone 2. But he also starred in movies like The Bodyguard, Superstar, and Runaway Jury.

Recently, Bamman has worked on TV shows, including The Good Wife and The Following.

Kieran Culkin (Fuller McCallister)
If there's one thing we know about Fuller, it's this: He wets the bed. Never let Fuller drink cans of Pepsi because, apparently, it almost certainly guarantees that he will pee in bed. And that's bad news if you're Kevin McCallister. No one wants to share the bed with a bed-wetter. Even if he has cute little specs and wears suspenders that are way too adult for him.

So Where's Kieran Culkin Now?
Home Alone was Kieran Culkin's first gig as an actor. From there he went on to star in Father of the Bride (and its sequel), Home Alone 2, and She's All That.

In 1999, Culkin played Buster in The Cider House Rules, which was the first in a string of critically acclaimed performances. Culkin starred in The Dangerous Lives of Altar Boys, Igby Goes Down, and Scott Pilgrim vs. the World. He teamed up again with Michael Cera — and Tavi Gevinson — for Broadway's This Is Our Youth in 2014.

Last year, Culkin played Rye Gerhardt on the TV series Fargo.

Roberts Blossom (Old Man Marley)
Remember when Cher explains "a Monet" in Clueless? Well, old man Marley would be a reverse Monet. From afar, he seems frightening and terrible — but up close, he proves to be a kind and lonely old man who just misses his family.

Old man Marley isn't the creepy neighbor Kevin thought he was. In fact, Marley turns out to be the hero — saving Kevin from the hands of the Wet Bandits.

So What Happened To Roberts Blossom?
Roberts Blossom was a Hollywood veteran before Home Alone ever came along, starring in Close Encounters of the Third Kind and The Great Gatsby. But the role of Marley proved to be one of his most recognized.

After Home Alone, Blossom starred in Doc Hollywood (with Michael J. Fox) and snagged roles on TV in Northern Exposure and Chicago Hope. In 2011, at the age of 87, Blossom died after suffering a stroke.

Hillary Wolf (Megan McCallister)
Megan McCallister doesn't get a ton of screen time, but she is still a big part of the movie. After all, she's the one who confronts Buzz when he seems unconcerned that Kevin was left home by himself.

Sure, Megan tells Kevin that he's "helpless" when he confesses that he doesn't know how to pack a suitcase. But isn't that what big sisters are for?

So Where's Hillary Wolf Now?
You guys, Hillary Wolf is a badass. After Home Alone, Wolf was in Big Girls Don't Cry...They Get Even. Her next— and last — on-screen appearance was in Home Alone 2.

But who cares about acting when you could be an Olympian? Wolf pursued a career in martial arts — and she was so good that she went to the Olympics to compete in judo in 1996 and 2000. No, she didn't medal. But Wolf is a four-time U.S. national champion.

John Heard (Peter McCallister)
One of the best questions of 2016 has centered around Peter McCallister. What exactly is this man's job? Because his house is insane and we're all jealous — and want to get into his line of work.

But aside from his house, he's a pretty awful, no? I mean, he doesn't even realize that Kevin is missing. And then he doesn't really seem to feel guilty. At least his wife has the decency to feel like a crappy parent.

So Where's John Heard Now?
John Heard has over 170 acting credits to his name. Long before Home Alone rolled along, Heard was acting. So it should come as no surprise that he's still acting today.

He's been in everything from The Pelican Brief to The Sopranos to White Chicks to Law & Order. Most recently, Heard was on the CBS show Elementary. He has six projects in production at the moment.

Mike Maronna (Jeff McCallister)
Jeff McCallister is just your average older brother who says things like "Kevin, you're such a disease." Normal, nice things like that.

So Where's Mike Maronna Now?
The same year that Maronna starred in Home Alone 2: Lost in New York, he snagged one of the best roles ever. Maronna joined Nickelodeon's The Adventures of Pete & Pete as Big Pete. Pete & Pete would air from 1992-1996. After that, Maronna had roles in 40 Days and 40 Nights, Gilmore Girls, and Law & Order.

But since the late '90s, Maronna has moved to working behind the camera. He's worked as an electrician on numerous projects such as Ugly Betty, Precious, Notorious, Sex and the City (the movie), and Nurse Jackie.

Joe Pesci (Harry Lime)
Here's some perspective: The same year that Home Alone came out (1990), Joe Pesci also starred in Goodfellas. By the '90s, Pesci was already on the rise thanks to roles in Lethal Weapon 2, Raging Bull, and Easy Money.

In Home Alone, he was Harry Lime. Yes, Harry pretends to be a cop to enter the McCallister home. It's downright embarrassing that such a terrible criminal managed to fool an entire house full of people — and the pizza delivery guy. Harry is the brains of the criminal operations. Unfortunately — or more accurately, fortunately — his brains are no match for Kevin's.

So Where's Joe Pesci Now?
After Home Alone, Pesci starred in JFK, Casino, My Cousin Vinny, more Lethal Weapon sequels, Home Alone 2, A Bronx Tale, and 8 Heads in a Duffel Bag.

By the early 2000s, Pesci had retired from Hollywood. He popped up in a few movies here and there, but he's been quiet ever since. You know what they say: Quit while you're ahead. And Pesci was way ahead of the acting game.

Daniel Stern (Marv Merchants)
Ah, Marv Merchants. You are not the brains of the Wet Bandits. You are the...hmmm, what exactly do you do? Other than cause trouble. Sound like an idiot? Almost get killed? And leave a signature (overflowing sinks) that helps the police trace every single robbery in the area back to you?

Oh, that's right, Marv. You have an incredible scream. You should have been an opera singer. Crime's not your jam, man.

So Where's Daniel Stern Now?
Stern had already been in Hollywood for 10 years, with credits like Hannah and Her Sisters, when he joined the cast of Home Alone. After the movie, Stern reunited with Pesci for the sequel.

Stern was also the voice of adult Kevin Arnold on The Wonder Years. He starred in films like Bushwhacked and Rookie of the Year.

In recent years, Stern appeared in Whip It, Workaholics, and Manhattan.

Senta Moses Mikan (Tracy McCallister)
Let's all take a moment to appreciate the look that Tracy McCallister is giving "police officer" Harry in this screenshot. I'm very proud of capturing it, and very impressed that she threw teen shade at him in 1990. But anyway, Tracy McCallister is Kevin's cousin. She's desperately seeking shampoo and has no time for games.

So Where's Senta Moses Mikan Now?
Senta Moses Mikan has had a pretty great career. After Home Alone and its sequel, she got a role on My So-Called Life (she plays Delia Fisher). After that, she popped up on shows such as Step By Step, Party of Five, and Touched by an Angel. She played Pheobe on Beakman's World and Dot on Sister, Sister.

In the 2000s, Mikan had a recurring role on General Hospital. She also appeared on Castle and Greek.

Most recently, Mikan has been on Girl Meets World, Jane the Virgin, and Faking It.

John Candy (Gus Polinski)
John Candy only had a small role in Home Alone, but he's one of the few genuinely nice people in the movie. Gus Polinski is the "Polka King of the Midwest," and he offers a ride to Kate McCallister to help her get home and see her son. He also tries to make her feel better about forgetting Kevin, by telling her about the time he left his kid in a funeral parlor and mentioning that he and his polka gang almost never see their kids because of touring.

What Happened To John Candy?
Ah, the late, great John Candy. Before Home Alone, Candy was a big star. He had been in hits like National Lampoon's Vacation, Splash, Brewster's Millions, Spaceballs, Planes, Trains & Automobiles, and Uncle Buck.

After Home Alone, Candy kept doing what he did so well: Make people laugh. He was in Nothing But Trouble and Rookie of the Year. His last movie was Canadian Bacon. He died at the age of 43.

Angela Goethals (Linnie McCallister)
Angela Goethals definitely has one of the best lines in the entire movie. And that's saying something when you consider how many famous lines originate from Home Alone ("You filthy animal," "Thirsty for more," etc.)

The line: "Kevin, you're what the French call les incompetents." Ouch.

So Where's Angela Goethals Now?
After finishing the Home Alone movies, Goethals popped up in Phenom and Jerry Maguire. She went on to appear in Six Feet Under, Without a Trace, 24, and Grey's Anatomy.

Recently, she's had parts on shows like Royal Pains and Law & Order.

Kristin Minter (Heather McCallister)
Let's all take a moment to appreciate Heather McCallister. This girl is probably the only member of the McCallister who isn't awful. She's not mean or rude. She doesn't just randomly sling insults. And she has perfect hair.

Sure, Heather miscounts — causing the family to leave Kevin behind. But how is she supposed to know about that weird neighbor hanging around their airport vans? Plus, Buzz tries to distract her. Heather also calls a friend in Chicago to see if they can check on Kevin. Talk about being proactive! Go Heather!

So Where's Kristin Minter Now?
Kristin Minter was one of the few people who did not appear in the Home Alone sequel. But that's probably because she was busy taking on other roles. Minter starred in a movie called Cool as Ice with — you guessed it, or maybe you didn't — Vanilla Ice.

By the mid '90s, she'd had roles on shows like Highlander, where she played Rachel MacLeod (of the Highland Macleod's) and Nash Bridges.

From 1995-2003, Minter played Randi Fronczak on ER. She followed with roles on CSI, Nip/Tuck, The Mentalist, and General Hospital.

She currently has three projects underway.
