No worries if you said yes — Wonder Woman is absolutely a worthy Halloween costume. But she's far from the only superheroine who should make your list of All Hallow's Eve contenders. We've dug a little deeper than the usual suspects (though your go-to gals are certainly on the list, too). From Supergirl and She-Hulk to Black Widow and Wasp, there are plenty of badass chicks to for you to channel this year.
You're a wonder woman every day, after all. Take advantage of the one night out of the year you get to masquerade as someone else.

Jean Grey

Sophie Turner, aka Sansa Stark, aka Queen in the North, has taken over the role of this telekinetic, telepathic, ridiculously talented doctor with regenerative powers in the future X-Men movies.

To emulate Famke Janssen's portrayal of Jean Grey in prior X-Men films, don an all-red outfit, give some cold stares at people, and make sure there's an adequate amount of wind coursing through your hair at any given moment.

Michelle Obama

Easy one: Put on an awesome dress. When they go low, you go high.

Harley Quinn

Pigtails? Check. Temporary hair-dye? Check. A slightly insane temperament? Checkmate — that's all you need to channel this Suicide Squad member for the evening. (Also a thought: No need to go wandering around in underwear, suspenders and baby-doll tee if you're not feeling it. It's about about the 'tude with this costume anyway.)

The Scarlet Witch

No, you probably won't be able to hex anyone just by slipping into a red bodysuit. But a gal's gotta try to find out, right?

The Bowler

Have you seen Mystery Men? If you haven't, we suggest you treat yourself because it's a truly hilarious spoof on superhero movies. But it also comes complete with this excellent costume idea: Put some streaks in your hair, and then challenge yourself to find a bowling ball with a skull inside it. Bonus: It'll make for delightfully weird decor the other 364 days of the year.

A flaming red wig, a black mask and bodysuit and you'll be ready to come when Gotham calls.

Not all superheroes wear capes. Some, in fact, wear pantsuits.

Gamora from Guardians of the Galaxy

Get yourself some rad leather, green body paint, and temporary purple hair dye and you'll be golden. Bonus points if you manage to get Chris Pratt to be your Halloween party date.

Storm from X-Men

Halle Berry played this part with a short silver cropped 'do. But we'd recommend snagging a long white wig and a cape and then standing in front of a fan all night. Costume mission: accomplished.

She-Hulk

You won't like her when she's angry. A little green makeup (well, maybe a lot) and an artfully ripped outfit can go a long way.

Black Widow, a.k.a. Natasha Romanova, from The Avengers

If it's good enough for ScarJo, it's good enough for us.

Supergirl

If you're not feeling the full-on costume, just pick up a Superman logo tee and wear it under your normal clothes. If anyone asks, you're in disguise.

Wasp, a.k.a. Janet van Dyne, from The Avengers

You know that pair of fairy wings you've had hanging around since that time you dressed as Tinker Bell in college? Add a black bodysuit and a Beehive hairdo and you're in business.

Behind every great man is a great woman. But behind every great superhero is often an even more badass superheroine.

Captain Marvel, a.k.a. Monica Rambeau / Photon / Pulsar / Spectrum

Warning: If you go as this character, you can't respond to anything other than "Captain Marvel" all evening.

Invisible Woman, a.k.a. Susan "Sue" Storm-Richards

This is the costume to pick if you don't actually want to go out on Halloween. If anyone asks where you were, just tell them that they couldn't see you because you were invisible to the naked eye.

Negasonic Teenage Warhead

While this character's powers might be a little open to interpretation, she was still one of our favorite parts of Deadpool. Just pop on a leather jacket and pull your hair back — or maybe use Halloween as your reason to finally take the buzz plunge?

But really, the appeal of dressing up as Negasonic Teenage Warhead is, well, telling everyone who asks that you're dressed up as Negasonic Teenage Warhead.
