The Inspiring Way Harry Potter Fans Are Paying It Forward

Harry Potter fans have found a new way to show appreciation for the beloved series — and it's refreshingly old-fashioned.

As MTV reports, OG readers have started leaving notes in books for the next generation of fans. The hand-written, personal messages detail what the iconic stories mean to them. "They were always there to remind me of something very important [...] you are never alone," one fan wrote. They also have some encouraging sentiments for young readers. "May these books fill you with the same sense of belonging that I found when I first read their pages," another note read. Fans are also using the hashtag #PotterItForward to share their comments on social media.

With multi-million dollar movies, merchandise, and theme parks surrounding the series, it's a breath of fresh air to get back to the basics. At its core, Harry Potter is an amazing story that has influenced so many people with its positive messages.
