Kendall Jenner Is Now One Of The World’s Highest-Paid Models

As if we needed more evidence that Kendall Jenner has really, truly, officially made it with the fashion crowd, the reality dynasty offspring made it onto Forbes’ annual list of the highest-paid models for the first time. Jenner comes in at number 16 on the roster, earning $4 million between June 2014 and 2015. Though we’re kind of over the whole “rise of the social supermodel” conceit, Jenner’s following, consisting of 58 million fans across Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook, according to Forbes, surely played into her debut on the money-making-models shortlist. Very tony runway bookings and top-notch editorial shoots prove Jenner’s somewhat unlikely (to some of us Jenner/Kardashian skeptics, anyway) credibility and acceptance within the fashion industry, and her ad campaigns for the likes of Calvin Klein and Estée Lauder further prove her money-making potential. The top earner for 2015 is Gisele Bundchen: She may have retired completely from the catwalk, but Bundchen made $44 million pre-taxes and expenses in the past year. That’s $6 million less than Bundchen earned in the year prior, but that seems like chump change in the scheme of things. After all, she’s earned an absurd $430 million from being beautiful (a.k.a. her modeling gigs) in the past 14 years, reports Forbes. Cara Delevingne and Adriana Lima tied for second place, Doutzen Kroes came in fourth, Natalia Vodianova was the fifth highest-paid model, Miranda Kerr and Joan Smalls tied for sixth place, and eighth place is a tie between Karlie Kloss, Alessandra Ambrosio, and Candice Swanepoel. Check out the full rundown, here. Surprisingly, Gigi Hadid, one of Jenner’s BFFs, isn’t on the list. (Victoria's Secret angels Behati Prinsloo, Martha Hunt, and Elsa Hosk also nearly made the cut.) Hey, there’s always next year…
