Taylor Swift's life is pretty glamorous these days, between her A-list girl gang, glamorous style, record-breaking albums, and fancy parties. But the award-winning singer wasn't always the jet-setting celeb we know and love today. Once upon a time, she was just a little girl on a farm, riding a tractor on her dad's knee.
The Swift family grew Christmas trees in Reading, Pennsylvania (get a peek at her childhood digs here). She brought her little brother to the VMAs this year; at once point he apparently made an incredulous comment to his famous sister about how they ended up at the event.
According to Lorde's Twitter account, "at the after party austin leaned down from the banquette heaving with models in vip to whisper in taylor's ear 'we grew up on a FARM!!'"
They sure did — and the "Bad Blood" singer shared a photo shortly thereafter to that effect. In it, both Swift kids are perched on their papa's knee, looking downright adorable. One thing that's the same is Taylor's little grin. It's amazing how far this farm girl has come!
