Nicki Minaj Called Out Miley Cyrus At The VMAs & It Was Really Uncomfortable

Nicki Minaj questioning her Video of the Year snub at the VMAs is the feud-fuel that just keeps stoking fires. The New York Times interviewed Miley Cyrus this week in anticipation of her hosting duties at this year's Video Music Awards. Cyrus was asked for her thoughts on the controversy, and her comments basically boiled down to her believing that Minaj acted out of anger and from a selfish place. Minaj kept quiet about Cyrus' statements until she had a very large stage upon which to comment: While accepting her award for Best Hip-Hop Video at tonight's VMA ceremony.

Minaj's "Anaconda" video won the moonman statue for Best Hip-Hop video of the year. Throughout her speech, she appeared to be holding back. You could just tell she had something she wanted to say that she wasn't quite saying. She kept switching from a forceful tone, to a baby voice, to thanking her pastor in a tone that seemed sincere, but it was hard to tell. Then, Minaj said what she was really thinking.

"And now, back to this bitch that had a lot to say about me the other day in the press. Miley, what's good?" Minaj asked before stepping forward in a combative stance.

"Hey, we're all in this industry. We all do interviews, and we all know how they manipulate shit. Nicki, congratufuckinglations," Miley said, trying to smooth over the situation.

Miley then turned toward the camera to continue with what was next on the teleprompter, but the camera cut back to Nicki, who was mouthing "bitch" and pointing to Miley. It's hard to tell if the moment was staged or not, but no matter what, it was extremely uncomfortable.

This Nicki/Miley moment comes, of course, after Nicki and Taylor Swift fully laid their misunderstanding to rest by opening the VMAs with a performance of "Bad Blood." Right after her confrontation with Cyrus, Minaj tweeted, "Lmfaooooooooooooo," so it looks like this beef hasn't been squashed. Watch what happened below.
