Lindsay Lohan's 15 Best Movie Quotes (Yep, There Are More Beyond Mean Girls)

In recent years, Lindsay Lohan's most high-profile role has been starring as herself at her own car-crash trial. (She also starred in The Canyons opposite porn star James Deen. That was a little bit of a wash.) But, once upon a time, girlfriend had a pretty prolific heyday. During that period, the actress said some fairly memorable things in movies.

Ahead, we're celebrating Lohan's birthday by commemorating our 15 favorite quotes from her on-screen performances. Keep a special eye out for her stint as Elizabeth Taylor. You'll also find treats from the Lindsay Disney canon, and obviously a few Mean Girls moments. Where would we be without Cady Heron quips?

"Grool. I meant to say cool and then I started to say great."

Who could forget this gem from 2004's Mean Girls? We've definitely busted out this kind of verbal mashup on our own crushes from time to time...okay, many times.

“It’s always about the jewels. Men just don’t realize it until it’s too late and we have them all.”

Yes, Liz & Dick (2012) is considered to be one of the worst TV movies of all time. But it was worth it for bon mots like this one — plus, it actually makes total sense that Lohan plays the tormented Ms. Taylor.

"The human mind is an incredible thing. Once its mind's made up, it can do anything."

This Lohan quote comes from Chapter 27, a movie about John Lennon's murderer. Starring Jared Leto, this indie film wasn't warmly received, and Lohan's involvement turned some heads — including Sean Lennon's — in a bad way.

“I don’t believe in physical contact with the opposite sex. At all.”

If we're getting technical here, Jamie Lee Curtis actually said this line through the instrument of Lindsay Lohan's mouth in Freaky Friday (2003). But, we're sticking with the rule: She who spoke it quothe it.

"Okay, see, I tried to be nice. But let me put this a different way, because you're not really getting it right now. If you call me a name, if you throw something at me — ever again! — if I see you talking to Harlan, yelling at Harlan, having anything AT ALL to do with Harlan, I will find all of your boyfriends and I will fuck them stupid."

Yes, this looks like a lovely, serene moment. But, don't be fooled: Lohan's character was a real bucket of potty-mouth sass in Georgia Rule (2007).

"What can I say? I’m a pathetic disaster and I give up."

Clearly, this quote comes from a later moment in Just My Luck (2006). She looks like she's doing A-OK here.

Let's call this quote from Labor Pains (2009) an ode to pregnancy jeans. Yikes.

"You’ve never heard of Leonardo DiCaprio?!"

Remember when Lohan played twins in 1998's The Parent Trap? Ah, the days of good, clean fun and hijinks. Also file under: when DiCaprio was god.

"She shot that bastard in the heart/ And ruined his nice suit!"

Well, if that isn't a country song, then we don't know what is. Also, anyone else surprised to see Lindsay Lohan standing next to Meryl Streep? A Prairie Home Companion (2006) really threw us a curveball.

This quote from I Know Who Killed Me (2007) sounds a little like where Lohan's life converges with her art...

That's what you tell your doll when she turns into a breathing human who also happens to be Tyra Banks. This quote comes from the old-school Lohan Disney days: Life-Size (2000).

Ah, Mean Girls. The gift that keeps on giving.
