Beauty Brands Are Showing Their Love For Gay Pride

Today, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled in a 5-4 decision that same-sex couples are legally able to get married across the country (cue the cheers). The ruling is a huge victory for the LGBTQ community and the country as a whole. And the timing couldn't be more perfect, with Gay Pride festivities occurring this weekend in NYC. This is a momentous occasion that will, without a doubt, go down in history, and in honor of the SCOTUS announcement, we highlighted some beauty brands that have been showing their love and support for the gay community. From June 25 to July 4, Lush is teaming up with All Out for the #GayIsOK campaign. All proceeds from the brand's limited-edition Love Soap (which comes in at an affordable $5.95), will go to support grassroots LGBT equality groups around the globe. Lush also urges customers to use the hashtag to share their love via social media. Skin-care brand Lab Series is showing its support through its logo, showcasing the rainbow colors of the iconic pride flag for the month of June on its website and social media channels. And, most recently, the brand has taken over the popular, highly trafficked windows at Macy's Herald Square in honor of Pride. Lab Series will also have a booth at this year's Pride parade in NYC, which will include everything from free products (duh) to pride-inspired messages. Speaking of the parade, there are a few beauty brands showing their support in float form, too. Kiehl's has been a long-standing sponsor of NYC Pride since 2010, and this year marks the company's 13th year marching the city's streets. Beauty brand Erno Laszlo will also be glowing with pride at the parade this Sunday with a float of...wait for it...dancing Marilyn Monroes. We'll be dancing along extra fiercely. Because, more than ever, we have a lot to celebrate this Pride weekend.
