Update: On Wednesday, Rose McGowan confirmed to E! that she had been talking about Adam Sandler. She told E! News that she was not trying to vilify the actor / producer, specifically, but instead call attention to systemic sexism. "It's just the institutional stupidity and the institutional infantilization of actresses. Like an actress isn't going to look like her A-game. We need to remind her. My favorite part was the parenthesis: 'Push up bras encouraged.'...This is normal to so many people...It's institutionally OK."
The actress also tweeted that speaking out had caused her to part ways with her agent. "I just got fired by my wussy acting agent because I spoke up about the bullshit in Hollywood. Hahaha. #douchebags #awesome #BRINGIT." McGowan seemed at peace with it. "The awesome thing about being an artist? You can't be fired from your own mind. #FREEDOM."

There, you'll find real gems from casting websites like "Breasts: You gotta have something that bounces when you run," and "She wears a lab coat on top of sexy lingerie." Again, those are actual character breakdowns for roles which most likely don't come with names or lines.
Even though she tried to take a stand about sexism in movies, McGowan's point was still lost on many people. "[D]idn't you get naked on camera just last year? Is the fact that you have to wear clothes for a role that's putting you off?" @BooLemont replied to her tweet.
