Lucky for us doughnut lovers, Friday, June 5, just so happens to be National Doughnut Day. To celebrate, shops around the country are offering freebies. Here are a few places where you can chow down gratis, in honor of this most important foodie holiday. Dunkin' Donuts: Take home a free doughnut of your choice with any beverage purchase. (If you want to go all-out, you could pair your pastry with a new Oreo Coolatta.) Krispy Kreme: Grab a free doughnut of any variety, no strings attached! The deal will be available at participating stores in the U.S. and Canada. Cumberland Farms: Customers can snag a free doughnut with the purchase of any hot or iced coffee or Chill Zone beverage from 5 a.m. to 10 a.m. at any Cumberland Farms location. Fractured Prune: Participating locations will offer guests one free OC Sand Donut (honey-glazed and dusted with cinnamon sugar). Now, the only question is: How many of these places can we realistically hit up in one day?
